The work I do for TAC!

Contained on these pages are some photos of the installation type of work I do for formerly CSI (Control Systems International). Now known as T.A.C. (Tour Andover Controls) a division of Schneider Electric. I am currently a Manager in the Energy Solutions division.

I usually function as a project manager on our more unusual installations. My role is the same as a general contractor. I have complete control and bottom line responsibility for the project after it has been sold and turned over to me for installation. I hire sub-contractors for the lighting, electrical, mechanical and controls installation. I oversee our own engineers in the control design and installation. A large portion of what I do as a Project Manager is to handle information flow between all parties involved. I am also responsible to see that we meet our mission statement:

Energy Solutions involves reducing a building owner's energy cost through re-design of energy using systems and a guaranteed reduction of energy cost.

This energy use reduction may include a complete lighting system retrofit, use of solar window films, total replacement of HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, water towers and a complete or partial replacement of the operating controls systems. However, the controls are not always the major cost saver of the project. The energy costs we save usually offsets the total cost of the improvements made.
